Are Dogs Welcome?
Absolutely! We love welcoming well-behaved dogs. Dogs are welcome in the bar and fresh water is always available. We even keep a few treats behind the bar for our four-legged visitors.
Can I book a table?
As a traditional micropub, we generally operate on a first-come, first-served basis. If you’re planning to visit with a larger group or for a special occasion, please contact us in advance and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
Are children welcome?
Children are welcome when accompanied by a responsible adult. We kindly ask that younger visitors remain supervised at all times so everyone can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.
Can you host private events?
Yes! If you’re looking for a friendly venue for a celebration, gathering or club meeting, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements and we’ll let you know what’s possible.
Where can I park?
There are several public car parks within a short walk of the pub, along with nearby on-street parking where permitted. If you’re unsure where to park, feel free to ask us before your visit.
Do you have gluten-free beer?
Yes. We always keep a limited selection of permanent gluten-free beers available, alongside our regularly changing range of ales and craft beers. If you’re looking for a gluten-free option, just ask at the bar and we’ll be happy to let you know what’s currently available.
Do you serve food?
We don’t serve food, but we do offer a selection of bar snacks to enjoy with your drinks. You’re also very welcome to bring in food from elsewhere.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash as well as all major debit and credit cards, including contactless payments.
Do you have alcohol-free drinks?
Yes. We stock a range of alcohol-free beers, soft drinks, tea and coffee, so there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
How do I get here?
You’ll find The Porters Arms in the heart of Aylsham at 27 Red Lion Street, Aylsham, Norfolk, NR11 6ER. We’re just a short walk from the town centre and local bus stops.
Do your beers change regularly?
Yes! One of the joys of visiting The Porters Arms is discovering something new. We regularly rotate our real ales, craft beers and ciders, featuring local Norfolk breweries alongside carefully selected guest breweries from around the UK.
